<title>Christmas Décor Ideas for Kids to Make</title>

Christmas Décor Ideas for Kids to Make

Before we move on to the décor ideas, we have added a free e-book to our All Our Recipes &amp;amp; More site about how to make a gingerbread house. Do visit the site and download the free e-book!

Kids love making their own Christmas decorations for their home and displaying them proudly.

Use ribbons and bows to decorate lamps, curtains and drapes. Choose different color ribbons and bows according to the colors in your home. For example, if you have white curtains, add red and green bows you can stick onto any surface, and arrange the bows on the white curtains any way you wish.

Kids may want to decorate the drapes using different sized white doilies, and fill the drapes with snowflakes. Attach green or red garland to the bottom of the drapes, and hang small light colored ornaments on the garland.

Kids can also decorate the entertainment center with candles of all colors, little glass bowls of Christmas balls, and Christmas figurines. Whether the entertainment center is wood, white or black, this is a sure way to make the entertainment center a Christmas display.

Have a coffee table? If the coffee table is glass, the kids can decorate the edge of the coffee table with garland and ornaments. Remember to choose a garland that compliments the colors in the room. Tape the garland around the table. Start with taping the garland at one corner of the table and let the garland hang a few inches. Repeat the process: tape and hang, until you have hung the garland completely around the coffee table. Then add favorite ornaments and hang them on the garland. This is a wonderful visual effect that also works on your mantel or a banister or railing, too.

Your children can create Christmas artwork with markers, paints or crayons. If you display it in a nice frame, it will complement your home décor and look like you paid money for it.

And, of course, a favorite Christmas decoration is a gingerbread house. Create a gingerbread house with your children. The gingerbread house will be a perfect display for a countertop or in the middle of your coffee table.

Choosing Christmas décor ideas for kids to make is easy; arranging them to compliment the décor of your home is the challenge. Choose the decorations, and have the kids use their imagination to turn your home into wonderland of color.

Kids Crafts Ideas - Easy "Cell phone" For Kids To Make

This is once again one of our Kids Crafts Ideas that are meant for the little kids. It is an easy and fun project that the kids will love.

What you need for this kids crafts idea:

1 Box the size of a cell phone. (Pill box or a tetra brick box for juice rinsed etc.)
           1 Black pipe cleaner
           White paper
           Ruler
           Black felt-tipped pen
           Paint brush
           Black paint
           Scissors
           Glue

          How to doe this craft:

Paint the box black and let the paint dry completely
Draw a square on the white paper, divided in the inside to make squares for filling in the keys of the cell phone. For very little ones only make enough for all the numbers
With your pen write in the numbers
Cut out the square and paste it to the "front" of your cell phone
Make a hole on the top and insert the pipe cleaner to make the "aerial"

That it, you have a "cell phone!" Kids Crafts Ideas can be simple. Sometimes the kids enjoy the easy and simple kid's crafts more. You can build a whole lesson around this about communication, how cell phones work and even numbers. Enjoy our Kids Crafts Ideas.

If you never want to look for crafts again, consider having a look at an e-book also called "Fun Kids Crafts" it has crafts for all occasions, season, holidays and more.

<title>Fall Kids Crafts - Fall Centerpieces</title>
<description> Hi Everyone,

 Something for fall, enjoy!

Fall Kids Crafts - Fall Centerpieces

Fall Kids Crafts need not only be the traditional. Kids love making something that can actually be used. So I thought I'll give you a few simple ideas for fall centerpieces the kids can easily help you with.

Fall is a season of inspiration for crafters and interior decorators. It's full of beautiful, vibrant colors that are unlike those of any other season. It's no wonder that so many people love to bring those colors indoors.

If you're looking for ideas for beautiful fall centerpieces, there's no need to look any further than your own garden and back yard. The leaves and plants that provide the natural beauty of the season will also look absolutely stunning on your table. Here are some centerpiece ideas that your guests will love.

  1. Mini-Pumpkin Candleholder Centerpiece as a fun fall kids craft:

Gather up some miniature pumpkins, and cut a circle in the top of each that is large and deep enough to hold a tealight candle. Use as many or as few as you like. Arrange the pumpkins on a clear glass platter. Add silk fall leaves, small pinecones, and other items found in nature to create a quick but beautiful centerpiece.

  2. Cornucopia as a fun fall kids craft

The cornucopia (also known as a horn of plenty) is a Thanksgiving decorating staple, but it makes a beautiful centerpiece throughout the fall. You can buy cornucopias at most craft stores in the fall in a variety of sizes. Simply add real or fake fall fruits and vegetables such as apples, pears, corn, squash and berries. Silk leaves and ribbon in fall colors will complete the look.

  3. Fun Fall Basket Centerpiece For The Kids To Make:

A basket full of fall beauty makes a lovely centerpiece. Sturdy, handmade baskets look great when filled with fall flowers, gourds or berries. Try arranging silk mums in floral foam, adding some moss and silk leaves for a finishing touch. Or jazz it up a bit with some beaded fruit and coordinating ribbon.

  4. Pumpkin Flower Arrangement

Pumpkins and fall flowers go great together, so why not turn a pumpkin into a flowerpot? All you have to do is cut a circle out of the top of a large pumpkin and clean the inside out. Spraying some polyurethane on the outside will add shine and protection, but it's not necessary. Then you can add potting soil and plant some real flowers in there, or use styrofoam or florist clay to arrange silk flowers.

  5. Canning Jar Centerpiece

You can use canning jars to create a variety of centerpieces. They make great containers for fall potpourri or floating candles. Or you could fill them with pinecones, silk leaves and berries. They also create a rustic look when used as flower vases.

These easy to make fall centerpieces can add lots of beauty to your kitchen table. And since you can find many of the materials in your garden or in nature, they are inexpensive to make. You can change them out every week or so if you like, without putting a strain on your budget.

Go on! The kids will love participating in your fall decoration with these easy fall kids' crafts.

Ceramic Design Course: Principles, Practice, and Techniques: A Complete Course for Ceramics

Creating things with clay is more than just a past time. The craft of ceramics is not one to be taken lightly and one has to study and practice just as with any craft. For one who is a ceramic designer or someone seeking to try their hand at it, there is a book that your shelf needs.

Ceramic Design Course is a great resource for ceramic artists who are interested in improving their design process. This is also a great book for beginning industrial design students. It should be noted that this book is not a book about how to make pottery. However, if you are looking to better understand and design your work including integrating form, shape and color, then this is the book for you.

Ceramic craftsmen intent on making pottery for everyday use, as well as dedicated artisans concentrating on fine-art objects will find insight and handy instruction in Ceramic Design Course.

Step-by-step tutorials take readers through each stage of the ceramic-making process with:

*A clearly illustrated summary of essential potter’s tools
*Instruction on developing design concepts and making prototypes and technical drawings
*Making models from drawings
*Making sample pieces to test glazes, colors, and surfaces
*Final design, creation of finished pieces, and development of a portfolio for presentation to buyers

Ceramic Design Course has practical exercises for each stage in pottery design and construction. While it is more for the profession designer, ambitious amateur do-it-yourselfers will also find plenty of inspiration and solid instruction in this resourceful book.

Kids Art Crafts - Fall Place Mats

Kids Art Crafts can be responsible for all your fall party needs. Why not make these easy place mats? In the fall, you can find all sorts of seasonal table decorations at any home décor or discount store. There are lots of nice designs to choose from, but wouldn't you rather have something that fits your style perfectly? The kids and you can make your own fall place mats quickly, easily, and inexpensively, and they can brighten up your table in an instant. Kids especially love using the stuff they made themselves.

Here are some ideas to get you started on this kids art crafts:

The first one is meant for the older kids that can sew, but, the laminated and painted ones the little kids will manage with some help from you. Imagine their pride when their handy work is on display for that special party!

  Fabric Place Mats

If you have a sewing machine, it's easy to make your own fabric place mats. You can even sew them by hand if you like. All you need is two yards of fabric. Or if you'd like to have two looks in one, you could use a yard each of two coordinating fall colored fabrics.

To make a rectangular place mat, cut two pieces of fabric about 15 by 20 inches. Fold each edge under 1/2 inch toward the wrong side of the fabric, and iron those edges into place. Then place the wrong sides of the fabric pieces together, pin, and stitch 1/2 inch from the edge all the way around. Stitch again 1/8 inch from the edge, and you're done.

  Laminated Fall Place Mats

Making laminated place mats is fun and easy. They also clean up nicely, requiring nothing more than a quick wipe with a damp cloth when soiled.

Here's what you'll need for this kids art crafts:

   Poster board

Fall photos, kids' drawings, post cards, or any other flat paper or fabric items

   Glue

   Contact paper or laminating machine

This is what you have to do:

Cut the poster board to the desired shape and size.

Arrange the photos, post cards or drawings to your liking and glue them on.

   Let dry.

Cover with contact paper, or laminate.

Or if you prefer, you could take them to a local copy shop to have them laminated.

If you're into Scrapbooking, you could use scrapbook paper instead of poster board and create the place mat just like you would a page. Create a layout, add photos and embellishments, and laminate, and you have a unique place mat that's guaranteed to be a conversation piece!

  Painted Fall Place Mats

If your kid is an artist, your kid can easily make beautiful painted place mats! Simply cut canvas to the desired size, plus an extra half-inch. Turn the edges under 1/2 inch, crease, and secure them with glue. Then paint the canvas just like you normally would. Once the paint is dry, add two coats of polyurethane.

Why buy the same boring place mats everyone else has when the kids and you can create your own? With some inexpensive supplies and a little imagination, you can have great fall place mats that suit your tastes and dining room décor perfectly.

I think it is important that when we think about kid's art and crafts that we do not limit them. You will be surprised and how much fun even the little kids can have with these crafts. The most important thing is not to expect "perfect" works of art, let the kids use their imagination. It is a good idea to add the date to these crafts so that in later years you will know at what age they made these place mats. Enjoy your kid's art and crafts!
Enjoy your day,

Halloween Kids Crafts - Baking Great Halloween Cupcakes

Baking cup cakes are great Halloween Kids Crafts. You may not believe me but my little granddaughter that is only 4 years old, has amazing success with cupcakes with very little help from my side. Obviously, they are not "show" quality but very edible. With older kids you can start teaching them to bake better cupcakes.

Cupcakes are fun to make, and even more fun to eat. They're a favorite snack for Halloween parties, or to have around the house for your ghouls and goblins.

Here are some tips for making your Halloween cupcakes irresistible:

Be sure to preheat the oven fully, and bake your cupcakes on the middle rack.

Mix your batter carefully. Be sure not to mix longer than the mix or recipe calls for, and bring your ingredients to room temperature before you add them in. This will keep your batter from being lumpy and make your cupcakes nice and moist.

Use decorative Halloween cupcake cups. These cut down on messes and add a nice touch to your finished treats. If you prefer not to use paper cups, you'll need to grease and flour each individual section of the pan.

Fill each cup 2/3 full. If they're filled any higher, the cake will rise and spill over onto the pan. If not full enough, they will turn out too small.

If your oven heats unevenly, turn the pan around halfway through baking.

Check your cupcakes after the minimum baking time by inserting a toothpick in the middle of one. If it comes out clean, they're done. If not, they need to bake a little longer.

Try pumpkin cake mix for a great Halloween flavor. This goes great with cream cheese icing!

If you don't like the idea of pumpkin cupcakes but want to make them look more festive, add some food coloring to make them orange. You'll have to experiment to get the right shade. In yellow cupcakes, a dash of red may be all that's needed. If you're using white cake mix, you'll need to add orange (or red and yellow). Add a drop at a time and mix well until you get the color you want.

Halloween Kids Crafts - Cup Cake Decorating Ideas:

Orange frosting is great for making your cupcakes look like pumpkins. You could add black frosting accents to make a jack-o-lantern face, or stick a small piece of green licorice in the middle to make the entire cupcake resemble a small pumpkin.

Use a fine-tipped frosting applicator to draw spooky designs on your frosted cupcakes. Spiders, spider webs and ghosts are quick and easy to draw.

Break oval-shaped cookies in half to make tombstones. Stick them upright in the frosting, and write "R.I.P" on them in a contrasting frosting color. This looks especially good with green or brown icing for the "ground."

Top your cupcakes with creepy candies. Gummy worms, candy bones, and chocolate monsters are favorites of kids.

Make spider cupcakes. Use black licorice to make eight legs, and add any kind of small round candies (or use frosting) for the eyes.

These are only a few ideas to get busy in the kitchen with the kids for Halloween Kids Crafts.

Sequins, pom-poms or other embellishments (optional)

This is what you have to do:

Use markers to decorate the back side of a paper plate.
Be sure to make the eyes big enough to see out of.

   Cut out the eyes.

   Add embellishments if desired.

Use the hole punch to make a hole in each side of the mask, taking care to keep them even.

Cut enough elastic to secure the mask to the wearer's head, plus a couple of extra inches.
Thread each end through one of the holes you just made and tie it securely.

  Fun Halloween Pop-Up Cards

The kids will have a blast with these. These cards make great Halloween greetings or party invitations.

  Here's what you'll need:

Construction paper (orange and black are good colors)

   Glue

   Scissors

   Markers

This is what you have to do:

Fold a piece of construction paper in half to make a card shape.

Make a 2 1/2 inch cut perpendicular to the fold, about 2 1/2 inches from the edge.
Make another 2 1/2 inch cut 1/2 inch from that one, and make two more cuts 2 1/2 and 3 inches from the other side.
This will leave two narrow flaps in the card.

Open the card and push the flaps up into the inside of it.
Close the card and press with the flaps to the inside so that they are creased.

Cut two ghosts, spiders, or other scary items out of construction paper.
Open the card and glue each one onto the front of one of the folded flaps.

Glue another piece of construction paper to the outside of your card, taking care not to glue where the flaps are.
   Let dry.

Using markers, write a message on the card.

Now Something For The House - Ghost Wind Socks

These spooky decorations are perfect for the front porch!

Here's the supplies you'll need to make them:

   Small white poster board

   Black permanent marker

   Stapler

   Glue

   White crepe paper streamers

   String, yarn or twine

This is what you have to do:

Draw a ghost face on the white poster board using the black marker.

Roll the poster board into a tube shape and staple the overlapping ends together securely.

Cut long strips out of the crepe streamers. Glue or staple them all around the bottom of the wind sock.

Cut a piece of string about 2 1/2 feet long and staple the ends to opposite sides of the top of the wind sock to hang.

<title>Crafts Ideas: Black &amp; White</title>
<description>Hi Everyone,

Here is a crafts ideas for the whole family:

The Little Hands Big Fun Craft Book: Creative Fun for 2- To 6-Year-Olds (Williamson Little Hands Series)

Crafts Ideas: Tips for Scrapbooking When Using Black and White Photos

This Scrapbooking crafts ideas is perhaps more for the older kids and for mom. Little ones will still love having a part in doing a scrapbook and there are lots of the tasks that they will be able to do with ease. You may even let them make their own scrapbook with photos that you have duplicates of so if they make a mess it is no great loss. Scrapbooking crafts ideas are fun for the whole family.

Black and white photographs have a certain timelessness, and romance to them, whether they were taken fifty years ago or last week. Today it is even possible to have black and white photos printed in such a way that they have the &amp;quot;yellowy&amp;quot; old look. They may be missing the element of color, but they more than make up for it with the nostalgia they evoke. It's no wonder that despite the advances in photo technology, many photo buffs still opt for black and white.

As a craft idea, black and white photos are great for Scrapbooking. The whole point of a scrapbook is to preserve memories, and the classic feel of black and white works well with that.

Here are some tips for making your black and white photos the center of attention in your scrapbook:

  1. Pay attention to your combinations:

Make it interesting. Group old and new black and white photos together. Consider using an old photo to get ideas for a new one. For example, if you have an old wedding photo of your grandparents, take a picture of your newly wedded sister and her husband posing in a similar manner. Then use them together to create a charming page.

  2. Keep your layout simple:

Resist the temptation to make your layout too busy. While it's good to have the freedom to use colors and embellishments as you choose, it's important to keep the focus on the photos themselves. The idea is to adorn them, not to overpower them.

  3. You can make it really classic:

For a really classic effect, make your layout black and white as well. It's especially important to take care not to overwhelm your photo when you use this approach, but if embellishments are used sparingly, it can produce a nice, sophisticated look.

  4. Make ample use of color:

You can make ample use of color, though, if you want it colorful. Use the best colors for evoking the mood you want to convey. You don't have to worry about anything clashing with your photos, so feel free to use any color that you think will work well.

  5. For the more ambitious:

Consider hand coloring certain elements of your photos. This is the technique used by some professional photographers to make a certain element stand out. If done correctly, it can really make your photos &amp;quot;pop&amp;quot; while keeping the focus on your subjects' faces. Try coloring hats or favorite objects that your subjects are holding for contrast. Photo oils are designed for this purpose.

  6. You may also use only a little color for effect instead of a lot:

You can also create a lovely effect by applying only small amounts of color to your layout. Do the majority of it in black and white, and add just a few elements in one color, or perhaps two complementary ones.

  7. Keep moderation in mind:

Scrapbooking with black and white photos is easier in many ways, but it's also easy to get carried away and make your layouts too busy. Moderation is just as important as it is when working with color photos. By using color to your advantage, you can keep your photos at the center of attention while accenting them beautifully.

With these Scrapbooking crafts ideas, you and the kids can have fun preserving all your precious photos for all the years to come.

<title>Fun Kid's Weather Crafts</title>
<description>
  Fun Kids Crafts Newsletter

Hi Everyone,

I have a really fun kids craft for you today. Before I give the kids craft I just want to draw your attention to the E-Book Fun Kids Crafts . I have been doing some of the crafts with my granddaughter and she is really enjoying them. At the moment she is crazy about all the edible crafts and we are constantly cover in sweetness, but, what fun. Do have a look at the E-Book Fun Kids Crafts , I'm sure you will love it as we do.

And now for our fun kids craft of the day:

Kids Crafts: Crafts to Help Teach Your Kids About the Weather

The weather is a fascinating thing, especially for kids. They often enjoy learning about it, and we can encourage that with weather-related crafts. Following are some craft ideas that you can use to teach your kids about the weather.

  Windsock Kids Craft

Making windsocks is a fun and easy craft for kids. They bring out your child's creativity, give you a nice decorative item to display on your porch or in your yard, and provide the opportunity to learn about the wind.

    You'll need these supplies:

   An empty round oatmeal container

   Construction paper

   Glue

   Markers, paint and stickers (optional)

   Crepe streamers

   A hole punch

   Twine or yarn

This is how you have to do this Kid's craft:

Remove the top from the oatmeal container, and cut out the bottom.

Cut a piece of construction paper so that it will cover the container, and glue it on.

Decorate your windsock. Cut shapes out of construction paper and glue them on, add stickers, or use paint or markers to add pictures and designs.

Cut lengths of the crepe streamers, and glue them to the bottom end of the windsock. Use alternating colors for a nice effect.

Punch a hole near the top of the windsock, and another directly across from it on the other side. Then punch another hole halfway between each of them.

Cut two 12-inch lengths of twine or yarn. Thread the end of one piece through one of the holes, and tie securely. Thread the other end through the hole directly across from that one, and tie it. Do the same thing with the other piece of string and the unused holes, so that the string creates handles that cross each other.

Cut one more length of string, making it about twice as long as the others. Tie it to the center of the handles, and tie the other end wherever you want to hang your windsock.

  Rain Gauge Kids Craft

A rain gauge is a great tool for teaching kids about the weather. They are very simple to make.

    All you'll need is:

A clear plastic bottle (any size will do, as long is its diameter is uniform)

   Scissors

   Ruler

   Permanent markers

This is how you do this kid's craft

Cut the top and neck off of the bottle, down to where the diameter is uniform.

Using the ruler and the marker, mark off the height by the half inch.

Decorate with markers if you like.

Set the rain gauge out in the open, where the rain will not be blocked by trees or buildings. Make sure it's level.

Place sand or bricks around your rain gauge, or set it inside the hole in a concrete block to keep it from being knocked or blown over.

<title>Fun Kids Pasta Crafts</title>
<description>Hi Everyone,

Here is a fun and easy craft for the kids:

Crafts For Kids To Make - Make A Pasta Pencil Holder Kids Craft

This is one of our really easy and fun crafts for kids to make. It is true that you will need a variety of pasta shapes, but fortunately the rest will not go to waste as the kids can make really fun meals with them.

What you will need for this craft:

   Any suitable container
Acrylic paints, White for the base and any other colors you like
   One paintbrush for each color
Pasta in as many shapes as possible
Disposable plates for the paint and glue
   Thick white crafts glue

 How to do this craft:

First you have to make sure that your container is clean and dry.
Paint the whole container white and let it dry.
Sort your pasta so that you have all the same shapes together.
Decide on a pattern, the easiest is to paste the pasta in rows on the container, using a different shape for each row or in any combination, as you please. Let the kids use their imagination.
The easiest way to paste the pasta to the container is to put a big blob of glue on a plate. Let the glue stand for a while to thicken. Dip each piece of pasta in the glue, press it in place on the container, and hold for a while until it sticks.
   Let the glue dry completely.
Once again cover the container with white glue and let it dry.
Now you can paint all the sections of pasta in any colors that you like.
If you never want to have to search for kids crafts again, I can strongly recommend Fun Kids Crafts e-book.

Have a quick look at the main categories in the index (each category has many crafts under it, many with templates where needed):

   Bible crafts
   Christmas crafts
   Crafts for dad
   Easter crafts
   Easy crafts
   Father's day crafts
   Fun crafts
   German crafts
   Halloween crafts
   Holiday crafts
   Mother's day crafts
   Preschool crafts
   Thanksgiving crafts
   Toilet roll crafts
   Valentine's crafts

Under the edible crafts there is the cutest little cup and saucer craft I made with my granddaughter the other day. Sure, it did not come out as pretty as the picture (she is only 4 after all!) but she had a ball. The original plan was to make the windmill but she liked the cup and saucer. With Fun Kids Crafts E-book you will have all the crafts you need for a very long time.

Go there now and have a look: Fun Kids Crafts E-Book

<title>Clothes Peg Crafts For Kids</title>
<description>

Hi Everyone,

Before I move on to the craft for today I thought I'll just draw your attention to Fun Kids Crafts E-Book again. The crafts I am going to do with my granddaughter today you will fin on page 97 of the Fun Kids Crafts E-Book. It is an edible crafts making windmills. My granddaughter is nearly 5 and I find that she love making edible crafts the best. She id always so proud to present her mom with it when she fetches her after work. You will really not make a mistake when you get this e-book.

Go There No And Have A Look! Access Is Instant.

Here is todays craft:

Crafts For Kids - Making Clips for Chips and Snacks Bags.

Crafts for kids needs to be fun and easy. Kids love it though if the craft can be used for something afterwards. So this craft for kids is one of our crafts for kids that you will be able to use for a very long time afterwards.

What you need for this craft:

   Wooden clothes pegs or clips
   Large beads for decorations
   Acrylic paints
   Paint brushes
   Crafts glue

  How to do this craft:

Paint the clothes pegs in the colors you prefer.
Let the clothes pegs dry completely
Decorate the pegs with the beads by sticking a bead onto the clothes peg, with the glue, close to the wire spring.
If you prefer you can also paint a person's name or initials in a contrasting color on the clothes pegs. (Depending on the age of the kids doing the craft)
You can make a whole set of these pegs and use them as gifts. I do not only use them for chips, pretzels and the like, but, also to close the tops of frozen veggies bags when I replace them in the freezer after opening. These clips are great for any kind of bag you want to close.

Kids will love this crafts for kids and Grandma and Grandpa will love receiving the as presents.
Enjoy your day,
Magriet

What mom couldn't use some help in the kitchen? Well, if you have children, you may have a sous chef (or two or three!) in the making. These tips for teaching kids to cook may help you to help yourself by allowing them to take over some of the kitchen duties. Kids who help in the kitchen also tend to eat what they've helped prepare with less fuss or pickiness.

Before teaching your children anything about working in a kitchen, teach them about cleanliness above all else. Basic safety rules like washing your hands before you begin, not licking your fingers while preparing food, and keeping raw and cooked foods separate will go a long way toward keeping family members healthy.

Read the entire recipe before you start so you’ll be sure that you understand the directions and know which utensils and ingredients you’ll need. Gather everything together. If you can, measure out the ingredients ahead of time. This will make the actual preparation go smoother. Follow the directions exactly to get the best results from your efforts.

Teach them safety tips like: always use hot pads to remove items from the stove or oven; don’t lick hot spoons or handle food while it is still hot.

Sharp knives work better than dull ones, so keep your kitchen knives sharp. Teach your child the proper way to hold a knife, how to slice food without cutting themselves, and how to care for and store knives. Don't put knives into a sink full of soapy water someone could get cut.

Instead of leaving clean up to the end, teach your child how to clean while they cook. Put ingredients away when you’re done with them. Run a sink of hot, soapy water and place dishes in the sink so washing them later is faster. Wipe up any spills you may have made so they don't have a chance to dry and congeal on the counter tops. Turn off and unplug any appliances.

Allow your children to watch you cook from an early age, and then begin allowing them to help. Even a 3 or 4 year old can help wash produce, stir a bowl of batter, assemble ingredients for salads, and more. It may take a little more time and patience on mom's part, but there are many benefits. Your child may become more self sufficient in the kitchen at an earlier age. Their help can relieve some of the burden on mom too. When you feel confident that they understand the rules for your kitchen and can handle things on their own, let them do just that. You may be surprised to find that you have a little chef in the making.

One great way to get kids in the kitchen is to let them be in charge of salads. Get 365 family friendly salad recipes here: 365 Salad Recipes

Enjoy your day,

<title>Kids Crafts Ideas - Making A Salty Painting Crafts</title>
<description> Hi Eveyone, First of all, you can download an artcle about coloring pages on top of this message. Now for our crafts:
Kids Crafts Ideas - Making A Salty Painting Crafts

This kids crafts ideas is one of our crafts that is a crafts and a science lesson in one. Start the lesson by explaining how the salt absorbs water because of the salt molecules that have spaces in-between where the water molecules can fit in. The salt absorbs the water because we are not going to dissolve salt in lots of water but, we are only going to sprinkle the salt on a wet painting. It is always a good idea to combine science lessons with kid's crafts ideas.

If you are looking for more fun kids crafts I can recommend an e-book called Fun Kids Crafts , it has crafts for kids 3 years and up.

What you need for this salty painting:

Thick white paper
  A pencil
  A black pen
Salt (big crystals works the best)
  Very watery paint
  Paint brush
Colored paper to stick you painting on
  Scissors
  Glue

How to do this easy kids crafts:

Draw a large painting on you thick white paper. Make it a picture that does not have too much detail and that will be easy to cut out afterwards.
Brush lots of watery paint all over your painting and do not worry if you go over the outlines.
Now you sprinkle lot of salt onto your painting.
Leave the painting to dry completely
  Brush of all the salt
Using you black pen, draw the outlines of your picture and any detail within your picture that needs to be clear.
Using the outlines as a guide, cut out your picture
Spread glue on the back of your picture and stick it onto your colored paper.
You can decorate this paper to make any kind of background you want.

What happened?

As explained the salt &amp;quot;sucks&amp;quot; up the water. The salt you sprinkled on the watery paint absorbs some of the paint around it meaning that there is now more paint around it than on the rest of your painting. This causes dark patches of paint where the salt lay.

You do not have to waste time looking for kids crafts any more. Have a look at the e-book Fun Kids Crafts ; it may be the answer to your kid's crafts problem. Stop wasting your time searching for crafts, here you will find all the crafts you need.

<title>Fun Kids Crafts</title>
<description> Hi Everyone,

You know I have just taken a look at the e-book Magriet's Kids Crafts Store again and it really is a very good e-book with lots of fun crafts. I've been looking at the crafts in the Easy Crafts section, there are painting crafts, making a tooth holder(!!!), crafts using grass, easy kite crafts, crafts without glue and more. My granddaughter is on holiday at the moment but I cannot wait for her to come back so we can do some more of these crafts.

I have to be honest though, there is something in the e-book that is a little bit of a problem, maybe only because I'm lazy, the index entries are not links to the pages with the crafts so you have to do a bit of scrolling to get where you want to be. It is not serious though and definitely not a reason to criticize the book.
I'm also very exited to tell you that I've added an aStore to my site. Go and have a look!

<title>Kids Crafts Ideas</title>
<description> Hi Everyone, Just a few short ideas for kids crafts ideas: Doing
crafts with your kids helps them develop their imagination and their
self-esteem. Here are some Kids Crafts Ideas that are fun and easy. If
you are looking for even more kids crafts ideas I recommend &amp;quot; Fun Kids Crafts &amp;quot; In Fun Kids Crafts you'll find lots of easy and fun crafts for the kids to do. Now for our crafts of today: Toilet Roll Kazoo Craft What you need: An empty toilet roll A rubber band Crayons or paints Glue Some construction paper A small piece of waxed paper How to do your crafts: Fix the piece of waxed paper over one end of the toilet roll with the rubber band. Cut
a piece of construction paper to the right size and glue it carefully
around the toilet roll, over the edges of the waxed paper and over the
rubber band. Hold in place until the glue dries. Then decorate the kazoo as you wish with crayons or paints. When finished, hum gently into the open end of the kazoo. Macaroni necklace What you need: Some strong yarn or string (elasticized string is particularly good.) Raw macaroni shaped like hollow tube. Scissors A little rubbing alcohol and some food coloring How to do your craft: Soak the macaroni in a mixture of rubbing alcohol and food coloring. Then let the pieces of pasta dry. Cut your yarn or string to size. Thread the macaroni pieces on to make a bead-like necklace. Tip: If you put a piece of tape around one end of the yarn it is much easier to thread into the macaroni pieces. Chore wheel for kids This
craft idea helps to make chores more fun. Take a paper plate and, using
a black marker, divide it into eight sections. Then sit down with your
kids and together choose eight household chores that they can help
with. Make sure they are suitable for your kids’ ages! Cut
an arrow out of cardboard and attach it to the middle of the paper
plate with a metal paper fastener so that the arrow can spin. Make
a chore wheel for each child, then instead of having to do the same
chore each day, let them spin the arrow to see what today’s chore is! Pinwheel kids’ craft What you need: A
sheet of paper measuring 8 ½ by 11 inches (if you can get colored paper
that has contrasting colors on the front and back, your pinwheel will
look especially nice) A short pin Double-sided sticky tape Normal masking tape A drinking straw How to do your craft: To make the pinwheel, measure 5” in towards the middle of the paper from each corner, and mark off. Now cut in from each corner to the marker. The paper should still be in one piece, but should have four flaps. Stick a piece of double-sided sticky tape (about a ½ inch piece) right in the middle of the paper. Then fold each corner of the paper into the middle and stick to the tape. Use extra pieces of tape if needed. Don’t fold and crease the corners in – rather, fold them in gently so that the folded area bulges out in a curve. Next,
push the pin through the wheel and into the straw, carefully so as not
to prick any little fingers, and secure in place with masking tape. Blow on your pinwheel to make it spin! These
are only a few kids' crafts ideas. If you never want to waste time
looking for kids crafts again, I strongly recommend that you get
yourself a good kids crafts e-book with a wide variety of crafts for
all seasons, holidays and more. The e-book I would suggest you get is
named   &amp;quot;Fun Kids Crafts&amp;quot;
(no relation to this site!) In this e-book you will find all the crafts
you will ever need systematically indexed and easy to use. You simply

<title>Kids Summer Crafts: Pressing Flowers</title>
<description>&#60;a href="http://kidscrafts.topknacks.com/documents/funkidscraftsblog.php?entry_id=1210285247">&#60;img src="http://kidscrafts.topknacks.com/blog/php/bookcoversmallfinalfun%20kids%20crafts.jpg" align="left" width="120px" height="154px" border="0" alt="" style="margin-right:2">&#60;/a> Hi Everyone, Let's all go back in time, become kids agian and enjoy this simple activity with our kids.

Kid's summer crafts should be about spending time outdoors.
This is what this craft is about. Collect flowers, press them in a book and
then later you have beautiful flowers you can use to make bookmarks or cards
with. Remember to always get permission before you pluck any flowers and it is
best to do it with adult supervision.

What you need for this craft:

A thick heavy book Kitchen towels Scissors A basket

  What to do:

Go into the garden when all the flowers are in full bloom
and collect specimens of as many as possible. Cut their stems of close to where the flower begins. Place them in a layer of kitchen towel, one towel above and
one towel under the flowers to absorb all the liquids from the flowers and
prevent damaging your book. Place them, with the kitchen towel, between the pages of a
heavy book to press. Leave them in the book until they are dry. Now your flowers are ready for use, in later blogs I will
give you some ideas of how to use them.

This craft is an example of the many easy and simple kid's
summer crafts that we as adults consider as very elementary, but, the kids love
them. We must remember to look at things from the eyes of our young ones, and
not from our world weary eyes. See things as if for the first time. Look at the
wonders in our gardens and teach our children to love and care for nature.

Searching for crafts can sometimes be a very time consuming
exercise. We feel frustrated because we spend more time looking for suitable
crafts than we spend doing the crafts with our kids. Well, this is not necessary
any more, I have found an e-book that is packed with crafts for all occasions,
seasons, holidays and more. &amp;quot;Fun Kids Crafts&amp;quot; is really worth a
visit.

<title>Ideas to help you find kids crafts</title>
<description>&#60;a href="http://kidscrafts.topknacks.com/documents/funkidscraftsblog.php?entry_id=1209816866">&#60;img src="http://kidscrafts.topknacks.com/blog/php/Product%20Image%20Little%20kid%20crafts.gif" align="left" width="120px" height="119px" border="0" alt="" style="margin-right:2">&#60;/a> Hi Everyone, Here are a few ideas to help you find kids crafts:

Craft Ideas to use for Kid Programs

Are you a Sunday school teacher or camp director looking
for a craft idea for kids? You may feel you are not the creative type at all,
do you struggle with coming up with craft projects? It is true that some people just have a knack
for finding or even inventing craft ideas, but your creativity can be
improved. There are many ways to make it
easier for you to find a craft ideas for kids. I think the easiest way is to
buy an e-book like Little Kid Crafts.

Remember, when it comes to kids crafts you must not be a
perfectionist. Do not get yourself into a knot thinking there is only one right
way to do something making your decision even harder. Regardless of the kid program you are helping
with, there are always many suitable craft ideas out there. Get yourself an
e-book such as Little Kid Crafts and you’ll have lots of easy ideas at hand all
the time. Simply print the activity you want to do and you’re ready to go. Don't worry about picking the wrong one! If you've taken into consideration the age
and skill levels of the kids involved, your choice will be fine.

The next thing you need to keep in mind is your budget. When choosing a craft idea for kid programs,
you need to be aware that some of them are expensive. You can rest assured that
the crafts in Little Kid Crafts won’t cost a
fortune. Prepackaged kits to make a fun
foam picture frame or a craft stick cross are affordable for a few kids, but if
you need to do a craft with a lot of kids, these kits might be too costly. It's
often easy to do almost exactly the same project by just looking at the craft
kit components and buying the same materials in bulk at the discount
store. You may have to do some
preparation, like cutting out shapes ahead of time, or at least making
cardboard patterns for the kids to use in cutting out their own. The savings will be worth it, however. An
e-book such as Little Kid Crafts will make this child’s play.

Another consideration is this: in spite of years of indoctrination from
women's libbers, the fact remains that boys and girls like different sorts of
crafts! If the craft seems a little
girly, don't use it at boys' camp. Stick
with lace-up leather billfolds, Indian artifacts, dinosaur art, and similar
projects. Girls will like beads and anything
that's pink or purple. For a craft idea
for kids camp where there are kids of both sexes, keep it on the boyish side
and provide some pink materials to keep the girls happy. With an e-book such as
Little Kid Crafts you can even have separate crafts for boys and girls.

An aspect of creativity that the non-creative types don't
realize is that ideas spring from other ideas.
That is, if you look over a book or website of craft ideas, maybe none
of them will appeal to you, but if you let them, they will spark an idea for a
similar project. Use what you can and
change what you must in the craft directions.
For instance, the craft may have a slogan to be written across the
front. If you need to change the slogan
to fit your own needs, it's perfectly OK.
For instance, the pictured project might say &amp;quot;Girls
rock!&amp;quot; You can change that to
&amp;quot; He is the Rock!&amp;quot; if that meets your needs better.

A final suggestion is to realize that you don't have to
change the instructions or create something new to have a good craft idea for
kid use. Feel free to follow the
instructions to the letter if that works better for you. The kids will have a great time either
way. Just pick a craft idea, for kid
creativity beats adult creativity every time!
The kids will make it creative, even if you have doubts about your own
ability in this area.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that the kids
must have fun. Do not cramp their creativity by expecting them to follow the
instructions if they feel otherwise. Remember, as far as crafts go, almost
anything goes! Get yourself and e-book such as Little Kid Crafts and enjoy the
experience with the kids. <description> Hi Everyone,
I hope you enjoy this mother's day craft for kids to make:

Mother's Day Crafts For Kids: A Photo Frames and Photo for
Mom, Mother's Day Crafts For Kids.

This Mother's day craft for kids are easier to than it may
appear at first. Read the instructions very carefully once and you'll sea how
easy it is. Surprise mom on mother's day with these photo frames with photos of
you in the frames.

  This is what you need
for this mother's day craft for kids:

2 CD cases Grosgrain ribbons1&amp;quot; wide in the colors of your choice,
one 15&amp;quot; and one 48&amp;quot; 8 Large ribbon roses A soda can pop-top A ruler A pair of crafts scissors Craft glue

       The method for this
craft :

  Using your 48&amp;quot; piece of ribbon, cut out four pieces 5 1 / 2 &amp;quot;
long and four pieces of 5&amp;quot; long. Now you have to apply glue to the backs of the pieces of
ribbon. Onto the sides of your CD cases you now have to place one of
your 5 1 / 2 pieces of ribbon. Onto the top and the bottom of your CD cases you place the
5&amp;quot; pieces of ribbon. Make sure the pieces of ribbon overlap with the ones
on the sides. Now you have to let these dry for at least one hour. We are going to make the two frames hang the one beneath the
other and this is how we do it. Place your CD cases with the front sides down
vertically (the one under the other) about 1 1 / 2 &amp;quot;
apart. Now you glue your 15&amp;quot; piece of ribbon down the center
of your CD cases starting about 1&amp;quot; from the top of the top one. To neatly finish of this ribbon cut a v-shape at the bottom
end of this ribbon. Glue the soda can pop-top onto the top CD case at the back
just above the ribbon. If you want the pop-top to have more strength, rubber
cement can be used. Now you have to let it dry again for at least one hour. Turn your cases right side up and glue the ribbon roses on
the corners to cover the overlapping pieces of ribbon. Let them dry for one hour again. Now you can place the photos inside and see the lovely photo
frames you made.

This mother's day craft for kids to make takes a little
time, but, it is easy to make and the end result is beautiful. Enjoy your

<title>Fun Kids Crafts: Making Panpipes</title>
<description> Hi Everyone, I hope you enjoy your fun kids craft making Panpipes:

    Fun Kids Crafts

Fun Kids Crafts: Making a panpipe with straws

This is a really fun kids craft and afterward you can make
music. This craft is very easy but, as it involves cutting it should be done
under adult supervision. As you can imagine, this fun kids craft fits into our
other two fun kid’s crafts about making musical instruments and our rainstick
crafts. If we keep this up you’ll have a whole orchestra soon!

This is what you need for this fun kids craft:

Some cardboard (I would say the poster kind) 8 Plastic drinking straws Stickers to decorate you panpipe with Sticky tape Glue

This is how you make your panpipe in this fun kid’s craft:

Take you drinking straws and cut them all in half in the process
making sure you get rid of the “bendy” parts of your plastic drinking straws. Now take two of your straws and cut a short piece of each so
that they are the same length. Now you take two more straws and cut them slightly longer
and then the first ones and again another two cut longer still. You should now have 8 straws in pairs of two ranging from
short to the length you got when you cut them in halve. Now you have to lay your straws next to each other in a line
in the order of their length from the shortest to the longest. Cut a long piece of sticky tape and carefully lay on your
work surface with the sticky part facing up. Carefully take your straws and press them on the sticky tape
in the correct sequence. Take the ends of your sticky tape and press it over the straws
to make sure they are secure. Cut two cardboard strips the width of your panpipe and stick
it onto you panpipe with glue. You have to stick them near the top of the part
of the straws that are even and form the top part of your panpipe. (To give the
kids an idea you can hunt for pictures of panpipes on the internet so they know
what a panpipe looks like.) Now you can decorate your panpipe with stickers or simply by
drawing on the cardboard. (You can even do this in advance before you stick the
cardboard onto your straws.) To make a sound, blow over the top ends of your panpipe

If you now have a look at our other fun kids crafts making
music instruments and the fun kids craft making a rainstick you have the
beginnings of your “homemade” orchestra! Next week our fun kids craft is going
to show you how to make music using bottles. Enjoy your day, Magriet

<title>Easy Crafts For Kids</title>
<description> Hi Everyone, Doing easy crafts for kids is always fun. I think we all need some tips on how to occupy the kids during spring break. Doing crafts is a great idea, but, it is also a great idea to reach them that any task done by working together can be fun. Here is an idea of how to approach it.

   Easy Crafts For Kids

Easy Crafts For Kids: Why not just working together?

We all know that doing crafts is a fun way to spend quality
time with the kids. There is another alternative though that can also be used
from time to time to teach the kids responsibility. Whilst doing crafts, even
easy crafts for kids, the kids perceive it as “play.” It is also important for
the kids to learn that any job well done can be a pleasure and that is the
theme for today. Plan on doing a project to show that working together gets the
job done as well as being fun.

Pick a project to do for the day. This project can be
anything that needs to be done in and around the house. It can be gardening,
washing the car, organizing the closet or cleaning out the garage. What the
project is, is not as important as the “working together” part.

Assign certain responsibilities to each person and make a
list of what needs to be done. Make a check list as follows:

Make a list of what needs to be done. Write down the order the work needs to be done in. Write down who is going to do each task. Assign supervision if it is needed. Make sure all the supplies you need are at hand.

To start with this may not seem as much fun as easy crafts
for kids, but they’ll soon realize that any job well done brings with it a
feeling of satisfaction.

Even though doing task teaches the kids valuable lessons, it
is still a very good idea to do crafts with them regularly. I am very exited to
tell you about an excellent new e-book that I’ve found for you. The name of the
e-book is “Fun Kid Crafts” and it has over 370 PAGES of fun crafts to choose

<title>Little Kid Garden Crafts</title>
<description> Hi Everyone, Today's idea is not really a craft, but, with summer approaching I thought a &amp;quot;craft&amp;quot; on gardening is a good idea. I really hope you'll have lots of fun with this one.

    Kids Crafts: Family
  Garden “Craft”

Planting a little garden as a family project or “craft” be a
great learning experience for all concerned. The kids get to learn about
growing plant, nature and even writing and reading. Never underestimate the “together”
time gardening can give you and the kids.

Start by picking a place in your yard where you can make
your little garden. Now each member of the family has to pick the part of the
garden where they are going to plant their part of the little garden. Each
member also gets to pick the flower or vegetable they want to plant. To help
them they can have a look at colored plant catalogues to see what the plant
look like. Obviously you will have to give the kids some guidance as to the
correct season for the plants; the space available, the amount of sun and water
needed for certain plants etc. This is where the first part of the learning
comes in. Here the kids are learning what it is that make plants grow, the
different plants for different seasons and the amount of water, fertilizer and
sunlight the plants need to grow healthily.

Now the seeds can be planted in many fun ways, they kids can
sow their seed in the form of letters to spell their name or they can sow the
seeds as the numbers of their age etc. Here you are incorporating reading and
writing into this fun activity. This activity is now turning into a biology
lesson, a reading and writing lesson and an art lesson as the kids will see
their “work of art” when the flowers start to blooming!

Once the kids get the idea of this activity it can be done
over and over each season with the kids creating a new “art work” each season.
This is a fun way where you can teach the children about so many things without
them even noticing as well as spending really quality time with the kids. Let
them sow a garden and watch their self esteem grow with the plants.
